Prams on any Budget

As Spring is in the air, and everyone I know seems to be having a baby, I thought I’d feature a few posts on having a baby on any budget.  Looking at items available on the internet following the three price brackets set in previous posts.  For this post I’m going to look at Prams.

Prams are a necessity for any parent to get their little ones around in, however they can get a bit pricey, so the first pram I’m going to look at is in the under £50 bracket.  Suitable for children aged from 6 months the Tippitoes Move Baby Buggy/Stroller-Green comes in way under budget at only £37.95.  Don’t snub at this price though, it has loads of features and includes a free rain cover, basket and hood.

The next price bracket is £100, and for this one I have in faact chosen a pram which retails for £149.99, however is available on special offer at Kiddies Kingdom for only £86.99.  The Graco Coach Rider 2-in-1 Puschair-Alexis is a great pram and at this great price shouldn’t be dismissed lightly. It’s suitable from birth and has the added advantage of being able to reverse the seat, so your baby can face both forwards and towards you. Save yourself some money and get a quality pram to boot with this choice.

Now we realise that you can spend hundreds of pounds on a pram, however our price bracket must stop at £200, so for under £200 is our last selection. The Out ‘n’ About Nipper Single 360 pram is available in a number of colours, it’s light, and comes complete with rear shock absorbers for a comfy all terrain ride. It’s retail price comes in at £214.95, however you can pick one up for only £193.95. This pram is also suitable from birth, and wil see your child through to 41/2 years, so you’re unlikely to need to buy another pram.

Whatever your budget, you’ll find a pram suitable for your child at Kiddies Kingdom.

    Home Gifts for All Budgets

Continuing our ‘All Budget‘ series, we’ll take a look at the ‘Home Gifts’ area of All Up and On.

Spring is in the air, and so is the sound of Wedding bells. Buying a gift for the newly weds new home is often pretty difficult as these days most couples already have their home and are loving together. So you’ll need to take a fresh look at the gift that you want to buy the couple.  Of course these home gifts are just as suitable for sprucing up your own house, or indeed a house warming gift too!

We have looked through the home gifts on offer, and come up with a suggestion based on the usual £50, £100 and £200 budget limits.

What did we find for our £50?

How about this stylish innovative wine rack from Herstal? It holds 12 bottles of their favourite wine, in aluminium – very stylish. If that wasn’t enough, it’s brilliant design is wall mounted, so freeing up the worktop for working on!  What’s more it’s only £31 so you’ll have plenty of change. You could get them some wine to start them off!
For £100 we have found the Groove wall mounted CD rack

This is a beauty, in stainless steel for the ultimate in style, this wall mounted CD Rack can hold 32 CDs in it ‘grooves’… pretty groovy eh? Not only is it stylish and functional, but it’s also a work of art, ready for mounting in any room. It’s unique design will be the talking point of many a dinner party.

In the £200 bracket we’ve found the perfect partner for the CD Rack above, the Groove wall mounted DVD Rack.

Holding 36 DVDs, this too is wall mounted and of the same unique design of grooves to hold your prized DVDs.  It has four sections which each holds nine DVDs it has more than enough space for a modest DVD collection.

Recycle on any budget with All Up and On

For the next few articles we shall be looking at ranges of products available to suit a variety of budgets.  Each range will have products in it which range in price up to £200.  With the products split up into low, medium and high price bands.

The first in this series will look at managing your Recycling.

The council have insisted that we recycle our rubbish, the Government says we have to save the planet, so what have they done to help? Well nothing really, so I have had a quick peek around the web to find things that can help you with your recycling.

We’ll go in for the low priced item first, so what could I buy for £50?

I have gone for a Silver Mesh Rolling Storage Bin.  A great item for putting your recycling away, a nice size, so not too intrusive, stylish and on wheels for moving around easily.  A great item and costing only £32 means I’ve got some change from my £50 – result!

The mid priced item I have found is a 30 litre twin stainless steel recycling bin.  This little beauty is ideally sized for a flat or small household.  With two compartments you can recycle as you go, saving you time sorting it out for bin day!  It’s price is short of my £100 budget at just £89.

Just as stylish in stainless steel design my upper priced product to aid with recycling is priced at £193.  It’s a bigger version of the 30 litre bin above.  The 60 litre twin tall stainless steel recycling bin is also a twin compartment bin, however is much roomier so would be ideal in a larger household. The two compartments are colour coded with the pedals to help you when it comes to sorting your rubbish into the right part.

All these items are available from All Up and On at the prices stated at the time of print.
