Oxford Distance Learning has grown to become one of the UK's largest and most popular distance learning establishments. It offers a wide range of courses to both UK and International students that are studied at home in your own time frame.

Product Range

You can study for a number of A' Levels and Diplomas with Oxford Distance Learning. A' Level subjects include most of the popular titles such as chemistry, biology, economics, law, sociology, mathematics and English. You can study as many A' Levels at one time as you like providing you feel you have the time to complete them all and can pay the required fees.

The college also offers a wide range of Diploma courses that can put you onto your chosen career path or help you to improve your promotion prospects. These courses include such titles as biology, psychology, business studies and administration, journalism, law and counselling. In addition there are also a number of more specialised Diplomas available such as equine studies, hypnotherapy, reflexology, flower remedies and sports nutrition which may be useful for expanding current knowledge.

In total, Oxford Distance Learning offers 15 A' level courses and nearly 60 Diploma courses. Regardless of which type of course you choose, you will have up to two years to complete it. The Diploma courses are made up of module assignments and an end of course thesis with no final exams at the end. A' Level courses however require you to sit a final exam and it would be your responsibility as the student to find an exam centre. All of the study material is available online however you can have paper copies sent to your home address if you prefer.

Additional Features

All of the assignments for a chosen course can be emailed to the course supervisor for marking which means that students aren't required to send hard copies to the college. If you enrol as a student you gain access to a personal supervisor who will answer any questions you may have and also access to a student forum. Here you can talk to other students about your course or any other problems you may be having.

Oxford Distance Learning also offers the option to buy gift vouchers for their courses. These range in price from £10 to £100 and can be redeemed against any of their advertised courses. Occasionally they also offer discounts on selected courses, especially when the course has a specific start date which is coming up.

Payment Methods

Oxford Distance Learning offers a number of methods for payment. If you enrol by post you can pay using MasterCard, Visa and Visa Delta, Switch, Solo and Electron or by cheque or Western Union. If you enrol online however you can only use the aforementioned credit or debit cards.

They also give you the option to pay in a single instalment or by using an instalment plan. By opting for the instalment plan you can pay your fees in six, monthly instalments however the college does charge an administration fee of around 10% of the original price. In addition if you want your course materials to be delivered in paper format rather than online they will charge an extra £35, although delivery is free.

Delivery Options

Your course materials can be delivered in one of two ways. You can opt for online delivery in which case you simply log into your account to access your reading material or you can choose to have your material delivered to your door free of charge. As mentioned above, there is an additional charge for having a paper copy and delivery is generally within 21 days of enrolment.

Returns Policy

If you change your mind about a course then you have a 7 day cooling off period in which to return all of the course materials to the college. You will need to post any paper copies of the reading material at your own cost and there will also be an additional administration fee of £20 which is deducted from your refund. All of the materials must be in reasonable condition with an intact security tag.

In addition to all of the course materials, your enrolment fee will also get you unlimited access to a personal course tutor for the duration of your study. This is a valuable extra, especially as the courses are all distance learning and questions about the work are bound to arise. The instalment plan makes the courses accessible to many more people which means that some A' Levels do fill up quite quickly.
