The Asda Entertainment website is a relatively new addition to the growing chain of Asda websites and specialises in DVDs, CDs, games and books at very competitive prices. The Asda brand name is well known throughout the UK for offering quality products at everyday low prices and is now the second most popular supermarket chain.

Product Range

Asda Entertainment offers DVDs, CDs, games and books at the same low prices as you would find in their stores. The main difference is that the selection available to choose from online is much larger.

DVDs – you can find best sellers, new releases, classics, children's favourites, comedy, keep fit and workout, Bollywood, romantic, sci-fi, action films, educational documentaries and many more categories here. There is also a 'value chart' and a 'TV chart' where you can find box sets of your favourite sitcoms and other programs.

CDs – again, the CD section of the website is arranged in easy to navigate categories and includes the chart toppers, compilation albums, the latest releases, information on soon to be released albums and the value chart. You can search by artist, genre or price range as well with the clearance CDs being priced as low as £2.98.

Games – Asda Entertainment stock games for the following gaming consoles: Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and DS lite, Nintendo Wii, the Playstation 2 and 3 and the PSP. They also have a range of PC games which include educational titles for children.

Books – the paperback books available on the website are generally offered at around 50% of their recommended retail price and the hardbacks also have good savings. There are over 25 separate genres listed which mean that all manner of subjects are covered. The site also offers the newest releases, best sellers, titles recommended by the Richard and Judy book club and a children's chart.

Ongoing Promotions

Asda Entertainment offers free delivery on all DVDs, CDs and games to the UK mainland. For books, you have to spend £20 to qualify for free delivery otherwise there is a charge of £2.73 per order. You can however include any number of books in the order for this one delivery charge.

The company also offer the option to pre-order DVDs, CDs, games and books for no extra cost. This allows you to order a product before its release date and have it delivered on the date of its official release, saving you the hassle of queuing in the shops for popular titles.

Payment Methods

Asda Entertainment accepts Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch, Solo and Maestro as payment methods. You will have to register with the website before ordering and enter the details of the payment card so that it can be verified. Once verified your order will be dispatched and your card will be charged approximately two working days after this.

Delivery Options

Most purchases are delivered by standard Royal Mail post however large or expensive orders may be sent recorded or special delivery in which case a signature will be required. Postage is free in most cases (see above) and you can calculate the expected delivery date by checking the individual item description. Returns Policy

If you are unhappy with your order then you have 14 days from the date you receive the items to return it to Asda Entertainment. Before returning the order you have to email the customer service department and obtain a reference number and the postal address. Should your order be faulty or damaged then Asda will refund the postage costs as well however if it is simply unwanted then you will be required to pay the postage. All sealed items such as DVDs, CDs and games have to be returned in an unopened condition to ensure a full refund.

One point to make a note of is that if you purchase a PC game which you find is not compatible with your system, you will be offered an alternative game and not a refund.
