Company Background

Tesco was founded by Jack Cohen, who sold groceries in the London East End from 1919. The Tesco brand first appeared in 1924. After Jack Cohen bought a large shipment of tea from T.E. Stockwell, he made new labels by using the first three letters of the supplier's name and the first two letters of his surname forming the word "TESCO". Tesco has operated on the Internet in the UK since 1994, and was the first retailer in the world to offer a robust home shopping service in 1996. Grocery sales, along with a vast range of non-food products, including flowers, are available within delivery range of selected stores, goods being hand-picked within each store.

Product Range

Tesco Flowers Direct supplies a wide range of attractive, reasonably priced bouquets, orchids and plant arrangements. The site is arranged into sections entitled "Flowers by Post," "Orchids," "Plants," "Spring Flowers" and "Finest Range".

"Flowers by Post" offers some attractive bouquets, at the budget end of the market. The "Orchids" section has a limited range of striking potted orchids available, but these are expensive. "Plants" provide exactly that, a range of basket and potted plants arrangements. "Spring Flowers" contains some very eye-catching mid-priced bouquets, in spring colours. The "Finest Range" has some of the more expensive products, and these are only available for a limited period.

Any problems should be notified to Customer Services, on 08456 004411, within 48 hours of delivery, quoting the order number. Orders for bouquets are only despatched on weekdays, and delivery cannot be guaranteed for a Monday. Orders requiring Monday delivery may be delivered up to 2 days in advance. Postal flowers orders are despatched on the previous day. While most orders arrive in time, the delivery date cannot be guaranteed, as it is dependent on circumstances beyond the control of Tesco Flowers Direct.

Returns Policy

If, for any reason a refund is due to you, it will be processed in the following manner:

Payments made by credit or debit card will be refunded to the same card. If any extra delivery charge applied to the order, this will be refunded at the same time.

Refund requests relating to orders for Mothering Sunday must be notified within 7 days of the delivery date, with no impingement of statutory rights

In the event of a refund, all Clubcard points received for the purchase of a refunded item will be removed from the relevant Clubcard account.
