PicooZ Insecta Remote Control Helicopter

The PicooZ Insecta is the latest helicopter from Silverlit and will carry on where the PicooZ helicopter left off. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Silverlit PicooZ range it has been an amazing success for well over a year and has beaten off competition from dodgy inferior ‘copies’.

The Insecta is their latest offering and it will freshen up the helicopter image in a market that is still high in demand. The original PicooZ was (and still is) a good helicopter, but the Insecta is a definite improvement. For starters, on looks alone it will out sell its predecessor. The helicopter now looks a little dull and obvious next to this one and the Insecta will no doubt appeal to kids (even the big ones). It features pulsating, glowing eyes, which make it fun to fly in the dark.

The EPP (expanded polypropylene) body has been improved. Customers often (wrongly) thought that it was as made out of polystyrene and that it would break easily. This won’t be the case with these as it looks more like plastic and feels a lot firmer and robust.

All indications are that the flight is smoother and more controllable. This is probably due to the fact that the Insecta seems to be weighted towards the front which makes it fly in the desired direction better than the original PicooZ.

Other specifications remain the same as the PicooZ and include:

- Super wide infra red remote control.
- Requires 6 x AA batteries
- Available in 3 frequencies for multiple flying (or swarm!)
- Recommended for indoor flying
- Recharge anywhere using remote control
- Approx 20-25min charge
- Approx 10 mins flying.
